A Synergistic Effect of Potassium and Transition Metal Compounds on the Catalytic Behaviour of Hydrolysis Lignin in CO2-Assisted Gasification

CO2-assisted gasification of carbon-based waste materials is one the processes that both utilises carbon chemicals and produces CO, which a highly sought after raw material. In this work, we aimed at finding clarifying synergistic effects simultaneous potassium Fe, Co, or Ni-driven catalysis. To reveal behaviour such systems, series with different loadings fixed second metal loading 5 wt.% was prepared. The following methods were applied for purpose: SEM, TEM, EDX, XRD, electron diffraction, catalytic tests. most active sample found to be 3 K Co- Fe-loaded hydrolysis lignin. attained CO2 conversion up 92%, while pure lignin demonstrated only 62% under same conditions.
